Zoe and Christine went with Christine's culture group from the Okinawa International Woman's Club down to Kokusai Street. This street became famous after the war and was called Mile Long Street. It's more of a touristy place for nick knacks and other tourist souvenirs.
Just next to this street was a street dedicated to Okinawan potter. We visited the Pottery Museum. And of course, there was a Shisha dog display. Zoe made quite a great fierce face for the picture.

Zoe loves to go outside. I think that sentence is an understatement. Everyday she brings me her shoes, points to the door, and then proceeds to run to the door and tap on it to tell me she wants to go outside. She even helps to get her clothes on before we go out. But some days, she is too impatient for it and wants to go out NOW even though she is not dressed. She has even walked outside in just her diaper because she wants out so badly.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could go outside with her. Zoe has that Dog face down perfect. She was born with adventure in her Soul and it is hard to keep it contained inside. After all there is that certain rock out there that was made just for her to find and maybe even a bug or two that she wants to show to Mom and Dad. Just remember how she loved sifting through the sand on that special Birthday trip to the Beach and found many things of wonderment. She hasn't even discovered Trash day yet. Those are the best days to go outside. People throw really good and fun stuff away.
She looks so darling in her snow outfit and she will really enjoy the Ice Festival. I wonder if they will have a lot of neon lights there along with all the ice sculptures. Can't wait for those pictures. Her cheeks and nose should be really red from the cold. She will be the cutest little girl at the Festival. Love that coat. Love those boots.
Love, Great Nan
She is not wearing them as mittens! She is telling you "those boots were made for walking" (Out the door that is). So let's gooooooooooooo!!!
Love Great Nan
I see my old house! Wish Zane and I could play with Zoe outside. We don't get much outside time with all the snow lately. Zane just sits at the window and says "outside" he also does the knocking thing. Apparently that is like "open sesame" and is supposed to magically open the door. How was Sapporo?
