Getting all cleaned up, ready for bed.

Dad started with scissors and that didn't end so well so we went with the electric clippers. Now he's stylin.

Kids Playing and Wisconsin

Today we took the kids to Battle Point Park and what a park it is, this is just a portion of the playground there. It was very much like the parks we saw in Japan, well thought out and just huge.

Zoe jumped up there all by herself and hung on for a good while before falling.


Xander and Zoe using the diggers. A pretty awesome idea, looks like something we could build ourselves.


The McDonald's play places here are also massive. We have lost Zoe in them before, but if you call her she usually finds a porthole to say hi.

Dad took a trip to Menomonie Wisconsin and let me tell you, if I thought it was cold here in WA its NOTHING in comparison to Wisconsin. This was my phone at one point, and it even got below zero. It was just bitterly cold, the minute you walk outside it hit you like a wall. The cows and horses even had jackets on.
The cars were also frozen solid.

Dad had a plate of fried cheese curds, a Wisconsin staple, and has regretted it ever since.

And as quick as it came

It has started to go.

Snow Part 2.

I spoke too soon, the snow has come full force (full force for WA).

Its knee deep!

I think Xander missed the memo on making snow angels outside.

Snow!

We had snow today. We had a little on Saturday but not enough to cover the ground. Today though, this is what we woke up to. Nowhere near a real snow it didn't cover the grass but it did leave a nice coating on the pavement and the roof.

Feeding the Birds (and Xander)

We decided to take the kids out to feed the ducks. It took a while to find a park with ducks but we finally found one, it was about the size of someone's front yard connected to a dock. Either side was someones property, beach front property. Of course the ducks were farther away and the pelicans move faster. So we just told the kids they were white ducks.




Of course, Xander being Xander the moment he got the bread he just ate it. Took him a few minutes to see Zoe feeding the "ducks" before he did. Then it became a bite for Xander, a piece for the ducks, a bite for Xander, a bite for the ducks oh wait I think Xander will take that bite too.


Whenever the kids go into the playroom you can hear them playing, laughing having fun in general. Then it goes silent. Thats usually when I walk in to check on them. This is what I found. I missed the picture of Zoe halfway up the toy chest to grab the bag of blocks but Xander was stuck so I got these pictures.
If we had known we could have saved the money on a crib and let Xander sleep on the furniture we would have.
