Here in Okinawa they like to build their own wave management systems out of rocks and huge concrete "jacks" (plus signs). We always wondered how they set them all up and got them placed, well wonder no more. They use normal construction equipment. We were a little fearful for this guy as the waves were huge. So much so they were hitting the sea wall and splashing our cars as we were driving past.
The castle we visited to see the cherry blossoms was at the north end of the island. Its about a 45 minute to an hour drive. A few of the husbands on this trip were satisfied that we saw cherry blossoms when we hit the tollbooth. Unfortunately that didn't count for the wives and we continued on.

You might think this is the same picture that used to adorn the top of the blog before the baby overtook it, but I took a new one just to show you how it has changed. (Ya, I'm betting its looked this way for a few hundred years, thus no change).

Zoe always has to be the ham and make faces during family photos.

You put my pictures to shame...I absolutely love the last one of the view out to the ocean...Is that one that you altered or did HDR on? It's amazing.
